Wednesday 21 March 2018 was a highly anticipated date for the Kaurna Nation. In an emotional Federal Court hearing, the Kaurna people were officially recognised as the Traditional Land Owners over designated parcels of the Adelaide region.
This is the first time that Native Title has been granted for land in an Australian capital city.
The decision was handed down 18 years after the application was first lodged in October 2000.
The SAACCON logo was created using the notion of a gathering of groups and organisations coming together with a shared purpose, in this case, to Close the Gap. Physically to place the word SAACCON in the space of the group design to symbolise the group going to help Close the Gap.
